All Saints' Episcopal Church Art Show

August 26th at noon to 2pm the public is invited to the All Saints' Episcopal Church Art Show, " A Study in Grey:  Visual art of all saints"  and to enjoy an opportunity to see a wide ranging collection of art.  There will be a dedication of two new stained glass windows,  a brief presentation form tom Blackburn from Pristine Glass.... Aug 25th. 9 am - noon:  There will be visiting our Maas Family Nature Preserve in Rockford where we will be learning about and working to restore Karner Blue Butterfly Habitat.  Work is appropriate for age 8 and up.  Supplies and equipment will be provided.  Wear long pants, long sleeves and sturdy shoes.

Blackberries are ripe and very plentiful
Great U-Picking for $2.00 a pint
We-Pick is $3.00 a pint

Well Mother Nautre has taken a hit on our Fall Raspberries too.
The plants do not have much height but the berries are beginning to form.
The Crop looks light but we will have red and golden available for u-Pick in about 10 days, or call for picking conditions.
With the heat Raspberries move fast..

Blue berries are winding down quickly! We-pick blueberries will be limited availablity daily.

Earl's Market " Raspberry Nut Dessert"

 Raspberry Nut Dessert

1/2 cup Margarine (melted)
1/4 cup Brown Sugar
1 cup Flour 1/2 cup Walnuts ( chopped)
Mix and spread in a 9X13" pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes.

1 cup milk
1 lb. Marshmallows
Heat milk and marshmallows until softened. cool.

                                                       1 pt. Whipped Cream
                                                       1 1/2 cup Fresh Raspberries
                                                       Mix in marshmallow mixture then spread over cooled crust
                                                       Chill at least 2 hours.

Boy! The summer has really gone by...and Fennville is having it last FREE Concert of the season on Aug.7th. at 7pm so dont miss this one if you can help it.

Under the Sun- Latin is playing Grupo Aye and as always it will be just North of Main Street Fennville(M-89) at Fennville Memorial Park, so bring the kids and bring your chair and enjoy, the weather will be just perfect... ;)
